Afina Bike and Car Rental

INSUARENCE AND WHAT IT COVERS

All our vehicles are fully insured. The rental insurance will include collision Damage Waiver. (CDW) .The insurance covers all accidents that involve the destruction of the car such as road accidents and fire accidents. Our insurance plan does not cover any other costs except those specified during the car rental. Please obtain medical, property and personal insurance at your own convenience in any insurance agency in the country. We will be delighted to provide any assistance on the same.

OUR VEHICLES

All our vehicles have unlimited mileage kilometers, you can drive as much as you want. Just like your own car.Don’t miss out on getting to discover all the wonders that Zanzibar has to offer.

DRIVER/HIERER

Only authorized driver will drive the car.
You should be at least 23 or older with a valid driver’s license that you have for 2 or more years.
The authorized driver must have held a full and valid driving license for a minimum of 2 years up to and including the time of hire and that license must bear no current endorsements during the last two years

FUEL POLICY

It’s no doubt that we will provide a car with little fuel and we expect the same when it is returned. Above all it’s very easy to get petrol on the island since there are plenty of petrol stations. You just enjoy your ride, when the petrol is over just go to the station and you will be properly served. In return you will pay the amount they asked for.

CAR HIRE AGREEMENT

The vehicle must be handed back in the same condition
Any damage caused by carelessness the renter will compensate accordingly.
In the case of extra time the renter will have to pay at the rate of 10$ per hour.
Payments should be paid before taking the car.
The vehicle must be driven by the renter, not another person.
The vehicle is not allowed to drive on the sea shore.
The renter is responsible for the security of the vehicle.
If the renter breaks the contract, he/she will pay 50%.
The owner can break the contract any time if it proves the renter is not keeping the vehicle in good condition such as carelessness while driving and other damage.
Fuel and driving permit are not included in the price.

DRIVING IN ZANZIBAR

International driver’s license or your national driving license required to be endorsed for an extra $10 USD for preparing Zanzibar driving permit.
This can be processed in Advanced after confirming your booking with us. Please simply send us a scanned copy of your national driving license and we will process this for you.

Bike and Car Rental

Bikes Delivery Locations.

Pickup and drop off the Bike at Zanzibar Airport, Ferry Port or any Stone Town area is Free of Charge. Deliver to different beach resorts and hotels on the island will cost 20 USD extra to bring the scooter to your location.

Insurance

The vehicle is covered by a fully Comprehensive Insurance. The excess amount to the first 350 USD of damages to the scooters involved in the accident. Comprehensive helps cover damage to your scooter that's not the result of a collision, such as:-

  • Theft
  • Vandalism
  • Fire
  • Natural disasters (like a hurricane or a tornado)
  • Falling objects
  • Damage done to your scooter by animals
  • Petrol and driving permit are not included in the price.
  • Mechanical failure is our responsibility.
  • In the case of extra time the renter will have to pay 5 USD per hour.
  • Free Mileage.

NOTE.

Insurance is not cover any damage to tyres, rims, glass/mirrors, undercarriage, damage and/or total loss due to the driver breach of any applicable traffic laws, damage caused by the driver blood alcohol concentration exceeding the limit permitted by any law or regulation or whilst under the influence of intoxicating liquor, narcotic drugs or similar substances.

Security.

The vehicles must be locked when unattended. The hire is responsible for the security of the vehicle. It is your responsibility to make sure the scooter is park under watchmen during the night. Most places provide watchmen and scooter park!
